The Theatre Laboratory of Drama and Speech, Department of Theatre Studies - University of Patras, presented “Hourglass”, performance, based on an idea by Katia Savrami, Choreologist, in collaboration with the Medical School, Master’s on Public Health, University of Patras, OACCUs program and visual artist Effie Halivopoulou. OACCUs is a vital part of the new EU4Health network for young cancer survivors.

Halivopoulou's artwork was used for the creation of the video, as animation of her paintings, which emerged following a 10-year research οf biological maps of the inside of the body and were transformed by the artist into oversized abstract paintings. The video with animation/montage by Nikos Falagas, was commissioned for the performance and it combined the musical rhythm of Philip Glass with the movement/dance of the participating Theater Studies students. Selected texts with a positive approach towards illness from poetry and Theatre accompanied the performance.
